Barbara Ann Runk
Memorial
services for Barbara Runk will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, July
28, 2005 at the Freewill Baptist Church in Oilton. Rev. Ryan
Humble will preside.
Runk was born Oct. 28, 1936 in Pauls Valley to William and
Dorothy Chisholm. She died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the age of
68.
She
grew up in Oilton and graduated from Oilton High School in 1955.
She married Don Lee Runk Dec. 12, 1960. Earning her LPN degree
from Central Area VoTech, Drumright in 1970, she then became a
nurse at the original Drumright hospital.
Runk Went on to be a nurse at the Memorial Center in Sand
Springs for 18-20 years. She moved to Stillwater and began
working at OSU in the business college and later returned to
Oilton to be near her family. She attended the Freewill Baptist
Church, Oilton.
Survivors include son Bill Runk and wife Kathy, Tulsa, daughters
Kathy and husband Chris Coggin, Oilton and Gretchen and husband
Don Miller, Broken Arrow; sister Dorothy Hafner, Tulsa; six
grandchildren, Aaron Runk, Jessica, Andrea and Elsa Coggin and
Eric and Katie Miller.
She
was proceeded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements
are entrusted to the Palmer and Marler Funeral Home, Oilton.
