Sherryl Lynn
Speer was born November 8, 1961 in Toppenish, Wash. Sherryl went home to be with
Jesus on October 22, 2012 in Sapulpa, Okla. She moved to Sapulpa in 1968 and
completed her entire school years here.
Sherryl is survived by her mother Lea Daves of Sapulpa, one aunt, Vera King of
Grant City, Mo., and several cousins.
Sherryl learned to sew and made her own clothes for years. She loved to cook and
bake and was always baking treats for her friends. She loved cats and always had
several as pets. Her favorite color was blue.
She went to work at American Hertiage Bank in 1981 and due to health problems
she retired in 2001 after 22 ½ years.
Sherryl was saved at the age of 17. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church for
30 years. Three years ago she joined the Old Paths Baptist Church north of
Sapulpa. Sherryl loved her Lord Jesus and was a firm believer in prayer. Her
favorite scripture was, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens
me.” Philippians 4:13. Her favorite hymn was, “Mansion Over The Hilltop.”
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Green Hill Funeral
Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Green
Hill Memorial Gardens. Reverend Guy Nolan will officiate.
The family has chosen to entrust the care of the service to the directors at
