Gary Dewayne Wheeler, 54, of Quitman, Mo. passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Jan.
23, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, Mo.
Gary was born on April 3, 1956 in Sapulpa, Okla., he had resided in Quitman
for the past 25 years. He was an over-the-road truck driver and had worked for
Lake Shore Farms and Guess Who Trucking of Oklahoma. He was of the Baptist
faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delton Lawrence Wheeler in 1992, also
by his wife, Eileen Wheeler in 2000, and a niece, Christina Michelle Wheeler, in
1994.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Donna L. Stover of the home; his
mother, Nelda J. Wheeler, Shreveport, La.; two sons, Bobby Duane Wheeler,
Minden, La., and Gary D.W. Moore, Jonesboro, La.;stepson, Earl (Patty) Guyles,
Gladstone, Mo. He is also survived by his siblings: Boyd L. Wheeler, Shreveport,
Clinton A. Wheeler, Shreveport, Chenena K. Martin, Longview, Texas, Daniel L.
Wheeler, Bossier, La., and Jesse P. Wheeler, Shreveport.
Other survivors include grandchildren: Trinity Wheeler, Delton Wheeler,
Devvin Wheeler, Anna Grace Moore, Christopher (Meghan) Guyles, James Baber,
Jamie Baber, Jessie Baber, Jenny Baber; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wheeler’s body has been cremated, memorial services will be at a later
date. Services are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home,
Maryville, MO.
