MAYOR SAPULPA
                   DIES FOLLOWING
                   BRIEF ILLNESS

Sapulpa, Okla., July 27.—Dr. J. Wade Bone. mayor of Sapulpa died at three o'clock this morning from a stroke of paralysis suffered at 9 o'clock last night.  Although Dr. Bone had complained of ill health for a number of months, his death was unexpected. His term of office would have expired next spring. Funeral arrangements are to be made late today.

Tulsa. 0k July 27—Mayor J. Wade Bone 01 of Sapulpa who died this morning was serving his second term as mayor of that city. He was elected last year to succeed himself. The mayor was a physician by profession although he had not been practicing since his election as mayor

Mr. Bone was 54 years old and had been in ill health for the past five years. He was one of ht pioneer citizens of Sapulpa. He is survived by a widow.

Don McMasters, finance commissioner, became acting mayor this morning.
