Near Da‘Nang
SAPULPA
— Army 8-4 David Bruner, member of the Seminole Indian tribe.-
was killed during an enemy attack near Da Nang last Wednesday.
his relatives were notified Monday. - Bruner, 22, entered the
army Aug.31. 1966. He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. Mo.
and Fort Dix. N. J. before being sent to Vietnam in September.
1968; Bruner. who was with the 26th Infantry Division, would
have returned home in August.
He was born Oct. 16. 1946, at Claremore. After graduating
from Sequoyah Indian High School at Tahlequah in 1965, he
attended Haskell Indian Institute at Lawrence. Kan. for a year.
Services for Bruner are pending with Smith Funeral Home at
Sapulpa. Melvin Brunet. a brother, is in the army stationed in
Germany. He will arrive at Sapulpa Tuesday to attend the
funeral.
Other survivors include: his father, George Bruner, of the
home: a brother Douglas. Chicago; (our sisters. Phyllis, Ann.
Deborah and Georgetta, all of the home and his grandmother, Mrs.
