Marvin Van Petitt, 65, of Sapulpa, died Monday.

Marvin was employed with Solar Ray in Sapulpa for 20 years. Prior to that, he was employed with Geralds Supermarket for 23 years. Marvin had been in this community most of his life. He graduated from Sapulpa High School. Marvin served eight years in the National Guards. He was a member of the Believers Baptist Church.

Marvin is survived by his wife Lois; children, Vicki and Larry Ebberle, Richard Petitt, Christi and Jim Wall and Dennis and LeAnna Playford,all of Sapulpa; grandchildren, Carin Ebberle; Sara Ebberle; Jimmy Wall, Tim Wall, Kimberly Wall, Tabby Playford, Wendy Playford, Christina Playford, and Chris Playford and two sisters, Juanita Childress and Louis Costney, both of Sapulpa. Marvin is also survived by his special companion Sassey.

Services or Marvin will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Believers Baptist Church in Sapulpa. Interment will follow at the South Heights Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
