Former Music teacher Dies

KELLYVILLE. March 7 — Funeral for Sam P. Williams, 89, year-old longtime Kellyville resident, will be at the First. Christian church here, of which he was a charter member.

Williams, grandfather of Mrs. Mercedes Wheeler, 2721_NW 41. food editor of The Daily Oklahoma died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital after a brief illness.

Time of services is indefinite, and will be announced by the Dunnaway funeral home, Bristow

Williams was born at Bloomington, Ind. and came to Oklahoma in 1910. He was a music and voice teacher for many years and at one time served on the board of education for Creek county.

He helped organize the educational program of consolidated schools in the state and had won national honor; for his art in making fine violins and stone carving. He was a member of the Golden age Hobby club.

In addition to his granddaughter he is survived by two sons. Clint. of Kellyville. and Sam P. jr.. 4816 N Indian; three daughters. Mrs. Fred H. Bell, 1228 NW 22: Mrs. Marqueta Randolph. 1100 N Broadway. and Mrs. George Edwards. Cleveland. 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
