Last Rites Held at Lenora Saturday for F. E. Anderson
Services for F. E. Anderson, 85, pioneer of Lenora and civic leader and former Dewey County News correspondent were held Saturday. Rev. Ira Hatchett officiated. He was called Judge. He had more than 50 years of service as Justice of the Peace. He came to Oklahoma in 1900 with his family and homesteaded on a farm near Lenora.
He was born August 10, 1868 at Wilmington, Ohio and moved to Smith Center, Kansas with his parents at an early age. There he married Rose Herren on August 5, 1890. Nine children were born to this union, one daughter, Hattie May, died in infancy. He belonged to the Lenora Christian Church in the early days and he was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge for over 40 years. He belonged to the Seiling KP Lodge since its founding 5 years ago. He belonged to the I.O.O.F.
He suffered a stroke last year and was taken to the rest home in Fairview where he recuperated and lived until his death last Thursday morning. Burial was in the Riley Cemetery near Lenora.
He is survived by his wife, Rose, of the home; four sons, James of Rolla Kansas; John of Monte Vista, Colorado; Harvey of Wichita, Kansas; Clyde of Lenora; and four daughters, Mrs Eva Ray (Wray) of Chickasaw, Alabama; Mrs. Hazel Willis of Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. Myrtle Reisland of Yakima, Washington; and Mrs. Faye Hurt of Ft. Supply, Oklahoma.

John Anderson Services Tuesday
Services were held at Lenora Union Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon for John Anderson, former resident of that community. The deceased has made his home in Colorado for a number of years where he was a mail carrier. He was the son of the late Jim and Rose Anderson.
Pallbearers were Mac Harwell, Gordon Compton, Eldon Gore, Ernest Deaton, Earl Foale, and Joe Bowser.
Relatives here for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson of Rolla, Kansas; Harvey Anderson of Enid; Hazel Willis of Wichita, Kansas; and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Barnes of Woodward (OK).
Rev. Ira Hatchett officiated at the service. Burial was in Riley Cemetery with Shaw Funeral Home in charge.

Obituary - Clyde R. Anderson, youngest son of Frank E. and Rose Anderson, was born at Lenora, Oklahoma, on June 4, 1908 and departed this life at the age of 48 years and 7 days. ...
