Funeral services were held March 10 at Georges Creek, Texas, for William Houston Cavasos, 78, who died Tuesday at the home of his son, Manuel Cavasos, Georges Creek.
P. D. Wilmeth, pastor of the Central Church of Christ, conducted the services.
The deceased was born July 24, 1858, near Waco. At the age of 22 he was married to Miss Rebecca Anne Laxon, who preceded him in death ten years.
In 1898 he moved with his family to Dewey County, Oklahoma, where he lived until the death of his wife in 1927. After her death he made his home with relatives. He spent the last five years with his son, Manuel.
Survivors include a brother, a daughter, four sons, one being Lawrence A. Cavasos of Leedey, 22 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
