DIED.
Just as we go to press we learn that Mrs. J. J. Duke died at her home west of town last night at midnight. She has been a sufferer with cancer for a long time. The funeral service will be at the Christian Church tomorrow at two o'clock. We will try and give a complete obituary next week.

OBITUARY.
Anna Yake was born August 31st, 1873 and died March 15, 1917 at the age of 43 years, 7 months, and 14 days. She was married to John Duke on August 15, 1895. To this union were born 5 children, 3 sons and 2 daughters.
These together with the husband, father, mother, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters and a host of friends she leaves to mourn her loss.
She was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church of Camargo. She was a true Christian mother. Her character was an example for her children to follow. Indeed they may call her blessed for her watchful care and love for them.

J. J. DUKE DEAD.
John J. Duke who has been in poor health for a long time, passed away last Friday at about 5 o'clock. The funeral was held at the home Saturday and the Masonic Lodge officiated and he was laid to rest in Tuck cemetery. Mr. Duke was one of the earlier settlers here and will be greatly missed. His wife passed on about one year ago and he has gradually failed since that time and has gone to join her.
He was a good citizen, a good father, and his loss will be great to his family and neighbors.
