Obituary - Ora Mae Durham, daughter of Luther and Clara Durham was born March 1, 1886, in Crawford County, Kansas and passed away April 24, 1956, in the Thomas Memorial Hospital at the age of 70 years, 1 month, and 24 days. At the age of 4 years she moved with her familiy to Illinois where they lived until 1900 when they moved to Oklahoma and homesteaded near Webb, where she grew to womanhood.
Ora was married to Will Gastineau on June 10, 1906. To this union were born five sons and four daughters, Gilbert of Dennison, Texas; Homer of Lenora; Byron of Delta, Colorado; Myron of Taloga; Orval of Sandpoint, Idaho; Mrs. Florence Owens of Putnam; Mrs. Ruby Bruce of Napa, California; Mrs. Maxine Mercer of Lexington, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Lucille Mathis of Mulvane, Kansas.
Other survivors are five brothers: Arthur of Crisswell, Oregon; Omer of Bakersfield, California; Raymond of Anderson, Missouri; Floyd of Houston, Texas, and Ralph of Montrose, Colorado, 28 grandchildren adn 6 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
Her husband preceded her in death on July 9, 1929. Her parents and two sisters, Mrs. Will Williams and Mrs. Ivy Smith also are deceased. She was converted at the age of 17 years and united with the Union Baptist Church at Longcreek. ...
