Born May 10, 1842 in Washington County, Arkansas

Died October 8, 1924

William came to Indian Territory sometime before 1892.

He made his living as a farmer.

This unit, the 15th Arkansas Infantry was also designated 15th Northwest Arkansas Infantry, to avoid confusion with another 15th Arkansas Infantry.
