WANDA ALICE BENGE-SPURLOCK
 (JUNE 5, 1934 - SEPTEMBER 27, 2000)  

WANDA ALICE BENGE-SPURLOCK  was born June 5, 1934 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Henry L. and Ollie May Hutley-Benge.  She married Louis Leon Spurlock on February 9, 1953 in Stratford, Oklahoma.  During their years of marriage.  They were stationed with the U.S. Navy in California, Washington, Virginia, and many other places.  After leaving the Navy, they lived in Springfield, Missouri, Okmulgee and Muskogee, Oklahoma before making their residence in McAlester in 1983.  Wanda worked as a home health provider for Medicorp.  She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of McAlester.  She is survived by a son, David Leon Spurlock of Pittsburgh, Pa; a daughter, LaWanda Carol Norris of St. Joseph, Missouri; a son, Kevin Louis Spurlock of McAlester, and another son, Keith Douglas Spurlock of Krebs, Oklahoma.  She had 11 grand-children and one great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ollie Benge and her husband, Louis; one sister, Flossie Benge-Watson; and four brothers, Preston, Leonard, L.D., and J.C.
