Back to Cemetery Listing
"DAVE" MAXWELL AND FAMILY
V.B. (DAVID) MAXWELL was born December 28, 1851 in Missouri. He was a farmer and was married three times. No information on wives #1 and #2. His father was born in Kentucky and his mother was born in Tennessee. He was known as "Uncle Dave" by most, although Dave was not a part of his name. He died on July 27, 1925 in Stratford, Oklahoma. Ruth Abney-Spurlock, his grand-daughter, stated that he died of "Bright's Disease", which was kidney failure. His death certificate gave the cause of death as Chronic Arthritis. However, the information was given by Tom Bartlett of Pauls Valley, with much information listed on the certificate listed as "Don't Know". The doctor signing the death certificate was G.R. Johnson of Pauls Valley.
