Mrs. Crawford died Thursday, June 10, 2010, in Guthrie, following a
seven-year battle with lung cancer.
She will be laid to rest next to her mother in the Fletcher
Cemetery, under direction of Fletcher Funeral Home.
Sharon was born Feb. 18, 1949, in Lawton, to L. B. Burnett and
Pauline Etter Burnett. Sharon lived in Lawton during her childhood
and attended Lawton Public Schools. She married James Edward Brown
March 15, 1969, and moved to Oklahomapolis. After her husband's death
on Aug. 24, 1973, she moved to Kentucky. Sharon married Wayne Taylor
Crawford on Feb. 11, 1978, and they had been happily married for the
past 32 years. Sharon and Wayne moved to Oklahoma in 1981 and had
lived in Guthrie for the past 25 years. Sharon was an accomplished
artist. Some family members have the good fortune of owning some of
her paintings. Sharon also designed the web sites of OKBits, CCOGS,
Comanche and Cotton Counties, as well as her Aunt Margie's and her
own website. Sharon loved to work on restoring old and damaged
photographs, and she was amazed that people would send her the
originals to work on. Sharon loved her grandchildren: Kristi, Cody,Justin, Taylor, Ashley, Skylar, Van and Marggie. Her face would glow
when she talked of her grandchildren. Sharon was a member of the
original Etter Family Reunion Committee that organized the Etter
Reunion in 1986. She would decorate the Honor Table and helped
wherever she was needed.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Crawford, of the home;
daughter and husband, Kimberly and John Koumbis, of Mustang; son,
Jimmy Jon Brown, of Guthrie; eight grandchildren: Kristi Bahavar, of
Mustang; Cody Bahavar, of Edmond; Justin Brown, of Guthrie; Skylar
