She was in nursing most of her life. She loved caring for and taking care of people. She was at Kern Medical Center, the Sheriff’s Department, the jail, and was a nurse at CCI in Tehachapi. She also helped start the Indian Group at the prison in Tehachapi. Her greatest joy was her family. She was the pied piper of children. Her grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren will remember her as their best friend and playmate. She was always ready to tell a story or play games with them. She is survived by a brother, Tom Bradshaw; children, Gene Krause and wife Sue, Cheryl Horvath and husband Stephen, and John E. Meyer. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her devoted friend, Lorraine Stiern.
