ROBERSON PASSES --------------------- Almost 84 Years Old-Lived in Lindsay 46 Years Thomas Henry Roberson was born April 4, 1862, at Atlanta, Georgia and died Feb. 4,1936, at the home of his son, John H. Roberson in Lindsay aged 83 years and 10 months. Funeral services were held at the family home at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, conducted by Rev. L. L. Reeves. Interment was in the Purdy Cemetery. Mr. Roberson was united in marriage with Miss Dona Ann Vick; they lived in Arkansas and Georgia for awhile, coming to Oklahoma and engaging in the "run" in 1889. After spending a year in Oklahoma City, they came to the neighborhood of Erin Springs in 1890. Since that time their home was in the neighborhood of Purdy and Erin Springs. To Mr. and Mrs. Roberson ten children were born, five whom have passed on, five remain namely, John H. Roberson, Lindsay; R. R. Roberson of Oklahoma City; H. C. Roberson, Purdy; Mrs. T. N. Smith, Mountain Home, Idaho; Mrs. Beulah Largent, Beasley. Mr. Roberson was a member of the Baptist church. Mr. Roberson was a quiet, Unassuming, likeable man; he held the respect and esteem of his fellows. and was a good citizen, indeed . "Man's wisdom is to seek His Strength in God alone.
