My grandfather was Clifford Garnet Parks. He was in Walker twp. in
1920. His name appears in the 1920 property on the Garvin county page. He was
also on the New Hope school board in the 1920's. He married Carrie Thresa Coyle
dau of the Louis and Martha Coyle below that I had sent to you before. They
married at Iona on March 23,1900. Clifford was the son of James "Fate"
Lafayette and Victoria Leona Williams Parks. They are on the 1900
census in Garvin county.

J.L. PARKS, one of the best men on earth, met us on the street
Wednesday and emptied his purse into our missionary box, as a token of gratitude
he was due to the excelency of the REPUBLIC. Said contribution places
Lafayette's subscription in advance, and he will doubtless be rewarded
in the great reserrection with a golden crown and the sweetest harp in the
kingdom. Clifford G. Parks was living at Wynnewood at the time of his death
in 1965 but he is buried at Tahlequah. Here is the short obituary out of
the Wynnewood paper.
