WETUMKA INDIAN
BAPTIST CHURCH
CEMETERY
Hughes County, Oklahoma
This cemetery is located from the intersection of Hwy 9 and Hwy 75, one
mile south to the Wetumka Indian Baptist Church sign on the east side of the road. Turn east and go .6 of a mile and the church is on the north
side of the road with the cemetery next to the church on the west side of the churchyard. Very, very clean and well kept. With the exception of
the last two or three graves, all of these graves are cover with brick and mortar with a cement top containing most of this information. I
canvassed this cemetery August 18, 1999.
The Jackson Funeral Home, Buckley Funeral Home and Williamson Funeral
Home were all in Wetumka and were the same business in the different time frames. Williamson is in business at this time
Beginning on the east side of the cemetery.
