Funeral services for former
Seminole County resident Mikka Francene Harjo who passed
away Monday evening October 3, 2011 at the age of 22
years.
Wake services will be 7:00 PM
Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Tekvpuce Methodist Church,
Holdenville with Rev. Joe Lowe, Rev. Margaret Battise,
Rev. Alvin Deer, Rev. Chebon Kernal, Rev. Bill Foot.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM
Friday, October 7, 2011 at Tekvpuce Methodist Church
with burial to follow at Tekvpuce Cemetery. The body
will be taken to the Church at 4:00 PM Thursday
afternoon.
Mikka Francene Harjo was born on
Easter Sunday, March 26,1989 to Rev. Mike and Opal
(Coachman) Harjo who lived at Preston, OK at the time.
She was baptized a few months later by the late Rev. Tom
Roughface and a member of Arbeka Methodist Church.
Mikka grew up traveling to
different churches and events with her Mom and Dad. She
did sign language at the area churches during Christmas
and for other events. Mikka graduated from Anadarko High
School in 2007 where she like playing in the band. She
enjoyed beading, pow wows, writing short stories and
drawing. She loved and spoiled all her nieces and
nephews.
She is preceded in death by her
parents, grandfather, brother Christopher Harjo, and two
uncles George Harjo and Jumbo Harjo.
Mikka leaves to cherish her
memories two sisters: Jerri Lynn Harjo, of Cushing, OK,
Deedra Tainpeah of Norman, OK; four brothers Tenetke
Harjo and wife Nicetta of Okmulgee, OK, Virgil Harjo and
wife Faye of Glenpool, Wilson Harjo of Prague, OK. V.
Mike Harjo II and wife of Seminole ,OK, and D.J.
Stevenson and wife of Anadarko, Ok.
Mikka also leaves a very close
extended family; Uncle Frank Coachman, Aunts Cynthia and
Ray Tainpeah, and Pat Coachman: Cousins Arharlock and
Misti Buckley, Meske Wind, Kimberly Coachman, Rebecca
Coachman, Uncle Don Simpson and wife Linda of Wilson,
OK, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pall Bearers will be: Arharlock
Buckley, Mih Coby Chibitty, D. J. Stevenson, Blake
Underwood, Noah White, and Derrick Abney.
Honorary Pall Bearers: A J
Buckley, Zander Buckley, and Joseph Wind.
