Cline - Martindale 1909 Waurika, Jefferson Co. Okla.

This postcard was written by my great grandmother Lyda Sybil Cline (Martindale) to her parents Orville and Charlotte Cooley Martindale in Wichita , Kansas . Lyda’s husband Thomas Alonzo Cline worked for the railroad and built numerous sheds, employee houses and station platforms. They would have stayed in Waurika just long enough to finish the job he was working on and then would have moved to the next job. My grandmother was born in Walters in 1910. The railroad moved the family west and they eventually settled in Los Angeles .
