MRS. A J. JONES
MRS. M. E HAMM of this city received a phone call Sunday
about 9 p.m. informing her mother MRS. A. J. JONES at
Altus had died at about 8 p.m. that evening. She was 96
years, 6 months, and 16 days old. Old age was the cause
of death. Mrs. Jones was born in Tennessee where she
lived most of her life. She was converted and joined the
Methodist Church at the age of 14 and lived a devoted
Christian for the remaining 82 years. She assisted in
building the old Carter Avenue Church in Ardmore. She is
survived by five children.

Davis Defeats Blue Devils 14 to 0
Farm Stock Offered at Public Sale
R.J. GRAVES, who lives 5 miles east of Loco and 2 ½
miles north of Dixie, is offering most of his dairy stock
and surplus farm equipment for sale at public auction,
November 19. Graves is moving to a farm near Tipton and
does not care to move the surplus equipment. He has some
fine milk stock, a registered Jersey bull and a number of
good blooded hogs included in this sale.

Family Reunion Held November 3
A family reunion was held last Saturday November 3 at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. BILLINGSLEY, formerly of
Ringling, now of Emerson, Oklahoma. Those present: Mr.
and Mrs. GILCREASE, ASA GILCREASE jr, and SLICK
BILLINGSLEY of Ringling, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. BEATY and Mr.
and Mrs. E. L. BILLINGSLEY of Pampa, Texas, Mr. and Mrs.
E. L. HALCOMB of Graham, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. BEATY
and daughter BETTY JO of Milo, MRS. J. E. BROWLEY of
Clemscot, Mr. and Mrs. R, K. HALL of Walters and MRS.
ORPHA GANT of Lawton.
MRS. J. P. GARRETSON of Addington is spending a few weeks
with her son B. R. GARRETSON and family.
Mr. and Mrs. DALE M. THURMAN had as their guests for the
weekend, his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. W. THURMAN, his
brother and sister LEON and FRANCIS, all of Commerce,
Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. J. P. DELLINGER attended the entertainment
given in Ardmore last Tuesday evening by the RUTH ST.
DENIS and TED SHAWN Dancers.
TOM DORSETT made a business trip to Waurika.
ARTHUR H. ELLIS, who has been attending school at Ada, is
back with his school at Richland this week.
S. L. PENNINGTON was in Ringling the first part of the
week shaking hands with his old friends.
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. CAPPS and children of Waurika were
visiting with friends and relatives in Ringling Sunday.
V. C. RICKETS of Ardmore visited his sister MRS. MAUD
MATTHEWS Tuesday.
MRS. MAUD MATTHEWS visited her mother MRS. MARY RICKETTS
in Healdton Sunday.
MRS. DAVE K. SPRADLING and JACQUE JACKSON are visiting in
Oklahoma City and Norman.
CLIFTON GILBERT of Wilson visited his sister MISS RUTHUE
LEE GILBERT here last weekend.
LAKE MOORE of Reck was attending to business in Ringling.
SHIRLEY WILLINGHAM of Wilson was in Ringling on business.

Halloween Party
Mrs. JOE CRENSHAW and MRS. JOE FITZPATRICK entertained
last Thursday evening with a Halloween party at the
Crenshaw home. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. I. C.
WATSON, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. THOMAS, Mr. and Mrs. L. D.
SMITH, Mr. and Mrs. GRADY CULBREATH, Mr. and Mrs. JOE

slaves and will not be let out to people who want to make
slaves of them, declared M. E. HARRIS, manager of
the home.

weekend.
JIMMY FLINN of Drumright was among his old friends here
last weekend.
MISS BENNIE MARIE SHEFEY who is attending Oklahoma A.
& M. was home for the weekend.
MARK ALLEN returned from a trip to California.
BILL CORNISH of Healdton was a business visitor here
Thursday.
MISS IRENE MOORE and MISS ROSE MOORE with LOWELL
SPRADLIGN visited in Wilson.
MR. EWING, telegraph operator, now occupies the W. B.
ROBERTS residence.
MRS. A. MCCRORY and CLAUD MCCRORY took MISS HELEN RUTH
BURLESON to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. BURLESON at
Dallas Sunday.
MRS. THURMAN KENDALL, formerly of Ringling, now at
Warner, is ill with typhoid. Her many friends wish her a
speedy recovery.

Public Sale
On Monday, Nov. 25, R. T. RICHARDS will offer a
considerable volume of farm stock, implements and other
items at public auction. Terms are cash because all items
are in first class condition. The Assembly of God Church
of Ringling will serve a noon day lunch.
R. H. S. Band Being Organized by PATTERSON
G. E PATTERSON of Ardmore met with a group of high school
students last Friday for the purpose of organizing a high
school band and he reported the first rehearsal and
meeting for instruction will be held Thursday afternoon
at the school.
FRED MITCHELL left for El Paso where he has employment.
J. THOMAS DANIEL of Waurika spent the weekend with ARDELL
GILCREASE and other friends in Ringling.
Mr. and Mrs. R. CASSIL paid the Eagle office a pleasant
visit.
Mr. and Mrs. IRA WATSON, Mr. and Mrs. GRADY CULBREATH,
WAYNE GILLEY, and BUCK STROUD attended the pie supper at
the Prairie Chapel school house last Friday night.
Mr. and Mrs. W. B. SWINDLER of Maud were in Ringling
visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. R WILSON and other friends and
relatives here. Little BILLY JOE SWINDLER returned to
Maud with them.
