Take Supper on River
On Saturday evening a number of the young people braved the high wind and supped on the banks of the mighty Red River, the outing party was given in honor of MISS MAMIE RABORN who was the guest of Mr. & Mrs. GEORGE B. BONDS.

After arriving at the river, a sumptuous repast was laid consisting of all the good things to eat that the young ladies could think of. Those present were: Mr. & Mrs. W. L. HILL, MISS LOIS HILL, MISS DICIE MULL, MISS MAMIE RABORN, MISS RUTH MULL, MISS MARY BOND, FRED BRANTLY, JAMES PEALOR, LEE REYNOLDS, CHARLES VANDERBERG, EARL BARBER, all report a most enjoyable evening.

SAM HILL, who has been employed as helper at the depot, left Wednesday for Bowie, Texas where he will have a like position.

Little Miss MARIE WINGER, granddaughter of Mr and Mrs. ALBERT COLBERT, who has been visiting her aunt, MRS. SAM ASH, in Waurika, returned home.

D. C. HASKIN, who has been agent here for the past five months, left Monday for Wichita, Kansas where he will make his future home.

DR. F. W. EWING left Saturday for Cleburne, Texas where he will visit relatives. Dr. Ewing was accompanied home Monday by Mrs. Ewing and children; she has been attending the bedside of her mother who has been very sick.

CHARLES M. LONDON Dead!
This was the sad message that was conveyed by wires Thursday morning. Mr. London had been sick only a short time with appendicitis. An operation was performed and he was thought to be resting better. The death occurred at Hastings June 19, 19912 at 11:25 p.m. Mr. London was 34 years age…. Funeral and burial services were conducted by REV. H. B. ELLIS and Masonic fraternity of which he was a member in high standing.

REV. JOSEPH RUSSELL of Cornish, pastor of the Methodist church at this place, Loco, Grady, and Dixie fell suddenly to the floor while preaching at Loco last Sunday. … The physician stated that it was probably caused from an over supply of blood to the head.

Mrs. J. E. ROGERS Entertains
On Monday evening, Mrs. J. E. ROGERS entertained the students of her room and the high school students of Mr. Bond’s room. One of the enjoyable features of the evening was the contest of ‘old sayings,’ won by MISS ELLA MAE BRANTLEY. The prize was a beautiful pin. Music was furnished at intervals by MRS. CHALLY, MISS LOIS HILL, MISS CHARLOTTE COLBERN, and MISS ELLA BRANTLEY. Another interesting feature of the evening was the contest on ‘silhouettes,’ which was won by MISS CLARA KENNEDY, the prize was a box of fine stationery. Refreshments were served consisting of cake and ice cream. Those present were: Mr and Mrs. W. L. HILL, Mrs. TAYLOR, Mrs. CHALLY, CHARLOTTE COLBURN, LOIS HILL, LAURA HILL, EULA MAE BRANTLEY, ORA TAYLOR, MINNIE VANDERBURG, IDA ROGERS, RUTH WILSON, RUTH MULL, CLARA STEWART, LOIS JONES, LULA STRONG, STELLA STRONG, CLARA KENNEDY, JENNIE ALLEN, LESPA BARBER, DOUGLAS EWING, FRED BRANTLEY, CLYDE BRANTLEY, GREEN HILL, WALLACE EWING, EDWARD TAYLOR, OSMER TAYLOR, MALLIE CROW, VIRGIL CAMPBELL, ED ROGERS, EULA ROGERS, JOHN WINNINGTON.

FRANK COE Dead
FRANK COE, a former resident at this place, died at his home east of Ryan Tuesday and was buried in the Terral cemetery Thursday morning. The funeral was conducted by the Woodmen.
