PARKING ORDINANCE
Center Parking in the streets of Waurika is prohibited by City Ordinance. It has been allowed in the past, but the decrease in traffic makes it no longer necessary.
THE CITY ORDINANCE REQUIRES AND THE CITY GOVERNMENT REQUESTS:
(1) That you do not park in center of streets.
(2) That vehicles more than 17 feet in length be parked on side streets (streets other than Main) only, and near to and parallel with the curb.
DOUBLE PARKING FOR NOT MORE THAN TEN MINUTES IS PERMITTED ONLY IF A COMPETENT DRIVE REMAINS IN THE CAR.
We expect that the public will comply with this request when it is generally understood---hence this advertisement. Our officers will courteously assist in informing the public as to parking requirements. No arrests will be made until after there has been sufficient time for everyone to learn of these traffic laws.
Business and professional men of the town, and their employees, will assist materially if they will park their own cars on side streets or at the rear of the buildings.
JERRY M. BRANDON, Mayor
By ORDER OF CITY COUNCIL.
