Sugar for home canning will be limited to one pound for each four quarts (or eight pounds) of the finished product and may be secured on written application to the housewifes local board. Each person is allowed not more than 25 pounds. Any family can apply for sugar to put up jams, jellies and preserves at the rate of five pounds per person. Last year, sugar for preserves was limited to one pound per person. The annual drive for funds for the Boy Scouts will open Wednesday morning of next week with a breakfast for the workers at the Coffee Shop, following which everybody will be called on for a donation.
