Good Chapel / Spears Chapel
The
original building was used for a church, school and Odd Fellows Lodge.
It was organized in 1907 as Good Chapel Baptist Church (Missionary
Baptist). The original building was destroyed by a wind storm in 1917
and a small building erected on two acres of land given by Mr. &
Mrs. David Spears. It also was used by the church and school and was
given the name of Spears Chapel. The church remained at this place
untill 1929 when the districts were consolidated into Union Valley and
the building moved. The church was reorganized and a building erected
three miles east of Union Valley school building on Lee Evans farm. It
was disbanded in 1960.
