Thomas Jefferson Matlock

County, Oklahoma.

Thomas Jefferson and Nancy Alice Ann (Orender) Matlock came from Missouri in 1893 by wagon train. Their daughter Lillie Bessie Matlock was born in Arkansas during the trip.
Thomas is the son of Thomas Buckingham and Elizabeth Ann (McKinney) Matlock. Nancy Alice is the daughter of Heillsman and Campospolina (Hamby)
Orender. Thomas and Nancy Alice are buried in the Cowlington
Cemetery.
They had four sons who died as infants who are buried at Short
Mountain Cemetery. The children who lived were Olla A., James Headley, Gertie L. Matlock, Oma Jean, Mary A., Thomas Buckingham "Tommy", Lillie Bessie, and Fannie E. Matlock.
Lillie Bessie Matlock married George W.
Hale.
