Indian Cemetery
LeFlore County, Oklahoma
Location: on Calvin Wiles Land, outside of Panama, Oklahoma
The SW-1/4 of Section 23, less 1-1/2  acres being that part of said SW-1/4 lying South of Brazil Creek 5 acres being all that part of the N-1/2 NW-1/4 of Section 26, lying North of Brazil Creek; and 142 acres described as the NW-1/4 of Section 24, less 1 acre for cemetery and less a strip 132 feet wide off the south side said NW-1/4 of Section 24, all in Township 8 North, Range 24 East, and containing 305.5 acres more or less.

Cemetery is no longer in existence.
Three people are known to have been buried here in graves no longer marked.
 
William L. (Billy) Sockey b 1856 Mississippi d 1901 Oklahoma
Son of Wallace & Eliza Sockey, he married Margaret Lewis, they had four children.

Francis D. (Issac) Sockey b July 1849 Mississippi d August 1901 Oklahoma.
Francis married Thomas F. Sockey, 1877, and had son, Cleveland (Cleve) Sockey.

Ned Sockey b 1878 Mississippi, d 1899.
Oldest son of Thomas F. Sockey & Francis D. (Issac) Sockey.

Ned married Dora James, April 28, 1898. Dora is the daughter of Ben James & Siney Night.

Ned & Dora had one son, Edward Sockey b June 12, 1899 d Oct 30, 1973. Edward is buried in Old Bokoshe Cemetery.
