Paul George Beshears, 92, of Mansfield died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired welder, having worked in a California shipyard, and served in World War II. He was a member of the California Longshoreman Union and a member of Mansfield Church of Christ. Mr. Beshears was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Edwards Beshears; his two sisters, Bernice Beshears and Eva Ballard; two brothers, Bruce and Gilbert Beshears; and his parents, George and Fannie Beshears.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Mansfield Church of Christ with burial at Bloodsworth Cemetery near Elm Park under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield.

He is survived by a sister, Beatrice Canady of Fort Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jack Parish, Howard Brownfield, Bob Armistead, Dennis Brownfield and Tim Spain.

Viewing will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
