The Daily Oklahoman Oklahoma City, Oklahoma June 17, 1915 pg 6 Lightning Strike Three Bokoshe Boys Bokoshe, Okla. June 16 (Special) Robert Braun, 16 year old son of E. P. Braun, was struck by lightning near here Wednesday and instantly killed; Arthur Braun, his 12 year old brother, is in a dying condition, and Raphael Jenkins, 11 year old son of O. O. Jenkins, is seriously injured as a result of the flash. The three boys had been picking berries and during a thunder shower sought shelter beneath a large tree. The bolt of lightning that struck the boys did not strike the tree beneath which they were standing. Bokoshe is in LeFlore county. Information posted as courtesy to researchers only.
