Lucile Broome

POTEAU — Lucile Elizabeth Hardy Broome, 91, of Poteau died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Poteau. She graduated from Poteau High School, attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Arkansas, was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, the PEO, Twentieth Century Study Club and several bridge clubs. She was the widow of O.E. Broome.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Poteau with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert Broome of Tucson, Ariz., and Joe Broome of Houston; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joe, Robert, Mark, Brian, Neal, Steve and Brant Broome.
