Louis L. Crenshaw, 71, of Sawyer, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2003. He was born May 26, 1931 at Spiro to Robert and Eller (Goins) Crenshaw. He married Shirley Sue Foote on Oct. 12, 1950 in Van Buren, Ark. He had lived in the Sawyer area for the past 32 years, moving here from Poteau. Louis was a retired truck driver having been employed by Curtis Distributing Co. He loved to hunt, fish and watch football. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Shirley Crenshaw of Sand Springs; one daughter, Linda Sue Wayland of Hugo; four brothers, James Crenshaw, Ed Crenshaw, Garvis Crenshaw and Calvin Petray; three sisters, Dorine Harrison, Fredia Riley and Ione Hammons; five grandchildren, Linda Dawn Wayland, Kim Wilham, Tamara Cogburn, Wynter Fawn Crenshaw and Ty Marie Crenshaw; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Wilham, Braden Wilham, Dakota Cogburn and Catlyn Cogburn.

The family received friends Sunday, April 27 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Prater-Lamton-Mills and Coffey Chapel.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 28 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo with the Rev. Jerry Mayfield officiating assisted by James Riley. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo under the direction of Prater-Lamton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home of Hugo.
