Patricia Ruth Doshier and was born in Shady Point to Glaston Liss Doshier and Irene Burnell Doshier. She married a Rucker.

My first Doshier ancestors to settle in LeFlore County were my great great grandparents, Thomas Doshier and his wife Naoma V. Doshier - according to Peck's The Proud History of LeFlore County, they settled in Tarby Prairie during the late 1880's.

Later on, they moved to what is known as the area of Shady Point and my great grandfather Joseph Steven Doshier and his wife Ada Branson Doshier bought land and farmed. My grandfather, Glaston Doshier was born in Shady Point in 1903 and purchased property in Shady Point and worked for a lumber company that made timbers for the mining industry. Work got scarce and he relocated with the family to Southern California during the early 1950's. It was always his intention to move back to Shady Point but he died unexpectedly in 1963 and never realized his dream. The farm is still owned by family members.
