Ruby Dugan, 78, of Poteau, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2003 in Chanute,
Kan. She was born Sept. 21, 1924 at Tuskahoma. She was a longtime member
of Southside Baptist Church in Poteau, had worked at Wal-Mart for
several years and retired. She was a uniquely artistic woman who created
wonderful things with her hands. She was an avid reader and loved her
cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband Toby Dugan; and her parents,
Joseph S. and Ludie (Dehart) Richmond.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Artheia and Gary
Hageman of Poteau and Tosca and Cliff Harris of Chanute, Kan.; one son,
Rick and Kathy Rainwater of Poteau; two brothers, Paul and Fran Richmond
of Oklahoma City and Larry and JoAnna Richmond of Keystone, Okla.;
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at Evans Chapel of
Memories with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will follow in
Oakland Cemetery at Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller
Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be John Robertson, Duane Rainwater, Tom Lannigan, Terry
Richmond, David Richmond and David Spurlock.
Honorary pallbearer will be Veachel Davis.
