Gleason "George" S. Gossett, 73, of Heavener, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Tulsa. He was a longtime resident of the area, a retired brakeman/conductor for the Kansas City Southern Railroad and he believed in Christ.

Survivors include his wife Sadie Mae; one daughter, Pamela Hammerton of Owasso; one son, Benjamin Gossett of LeFlore; one sister, Cecelia Ann Bowers of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Alicia, Cecil, Zeke and Cody; and one great-grandson, Tristan Cole.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21 at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
