James Harrell Gullick, 69, of Jacksonville, Ark., formerly of Poteau, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in Little Rock, Ark. He was born Nov. 14, 1933 at Poteau. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He liked to fish and garden. He worked for seven years at a group home for the mentally challenged and drove a school bus for over 13 years in Poteau.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorma Gullick; son, Jimmy Gullick; and his parents, Carl and Vallie (Qualls) Gullick.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home; three children, Tim and Sandy Gullick of Weatherford, Texas, Hal and LaDena Gullick of Shady Point and Malinda Hock of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Burton Gullick of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Patricia Thompson of Poteau; six grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones; and many beloved friends.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Royce Lowe officiating. Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
