Katie Mae Johnson, 68, of Dog Creek, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003,
at Stigler. She was born on Jan. 31, 1935 in Shawneetown, Ill. to
Bedford and Ora (Jackson) Roberts. She married Clyde Johnson on Oct. 8,
1955 in Shawneetown, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Roger.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Melinda Lamberson
of Shady Point; two sons, Tim Johnson of McCurtain and James Johnson of
Spiro; a sister, Helen Murray of Illinois; a brother, Bedford Roberts
Jr. of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many
other beloved family and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at the Dog Creek
Community Church, west of Shady Point with the Rev. Kenneth Jones
officiating. Burial will follow in Dog Creek Cemetery under the
direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
