The Daily Oklahoman Oklahoma City, Oklahoma September 23, 1911 page 3 Oldest Woman On East Side Dead Poteau, Okla., Sept 22 (Special) Mrs. Elizabeth McDonald, the oldest woman of eastern Oklahoma, so far is known, is dead at her home at Poteau. She was born in Alabama, January 31, 1819. She has lived in Poteau many years. Information posted as courtesy to researchers.
