LaKarra Lynn Newbolt Metts, 18, of Grove, passed away Friday, June 27, 2003. She was born July 11, 1984 at Fort Smith, Ark. to John L. and LaDonna Jane (Lehman) Newbolt. She was a student and a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Grove. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Maude Metts; grandfather, W.J. Newbolt; two aunts, Paula Newbolt and Jo Linda "Cookie" Aishman. Survivors include her parents, Ron and Donna Miller of Grove, John and Carla Newbolt of Mena, Ark., Steve and DeeAnn Metts of Bokchito and Phillip Lloyd of Durant; six sisters, LaKrista Newbolt and Tasha McBee, both of Mena, Ark., Rachel Chandler and Makenzie Metts, both of Bokchito, Kristina Miller of Guthrie and Brandy Crumrine of Chickasha; three brothers, Seth Lloyd of Grove, Brady Newbolt of Mena and Danyon Miller of Chickasha; grandparents, Janie and Jerry Kinnerson of Spiro, Gladys Bohlman and Alida Newbolt, both of Mena, and Stretch and Rhonda Head of Wilmington, Calif.; and great-grandparents, T.J. and Helen Aishman of Spiro. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30 at the First Baptist Church of Spiro with the Rev. David DeVore officiating. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro. Pallbearers were Heath Hoskinson, Terry McCracken, Steve Pierce, Denny Lehman, Larry Williams and Bo Daniels. |
