Bessie Olar Oliver, 85, of Heavener, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was a longtime resident of the area and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Louise Corbit of Fort Smith, Liz Hight of Heavener, Fairlene Swanson of Salina, Kan. and Bonnie Dehart of Heavener; one son, Jimmy of Heavener; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Howe. Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
