Edna M. Payne, 87, of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003. She was born Oct. 13, 1915 in Bengal to James and Ethel Clay Morelock. She grew up in Poteau and graduated from Poteau High School. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip in 1995. Survivors include one son, Dr. David Payne and wife Margaret of Plano, Texas; one daughter Phyllis Fleming and husband Roger of Tulsa; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Smedley of Poteau. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 3 at the Hartford Memorial Park Cemetery in Hartford, Ark. under the direction of Moore's Eastlawn Chapel of Tulsa.
