Nina J. Pickle, 83, of Poteau, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2003. She was born July 21, 1919 at Poteau. Mrs. Pickle was a retired school teacher and of the Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvan D. "Syb" Pickle; her parents, Mina E. (Sides) and Elmer L. Dees; and one son, Barry G. Pickle.

Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Jackson of Aledo, Texas; two sons, Ralph Pickle of Poteau and Dale Pickle of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cassie Hamner of Poteau, Troyce Tanner of Fort Worth and Ruth Peck of San Diego, Calif.; and one brother, Troy Dees.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 2 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion at Poteau with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
