Lois Wymore Pierce, 97, of Talihina, formerly of Watonga, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Talihina. She was born Nov. 22, 1905 at Hennessey to Lewis and Kate Armstrong-Wymore. She married Joe Pierce on July 23, 1923 at Watonga. She worked several years as a sales clerk for TG&Y Stores. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a charter member of the Rebecca Lodge of Watonga, American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two grandsons, Ed Pierce and Ronald Pierce; three sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Norma Pierce of Talihina; two grandchildren, Joe Pierce of Talihina and Beverly Curtis of Woodbridge, Va.; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Harold Wymore of Kingfisher; two sisters, Lee Ellen DeHate of Tallahassee, Fla. and Annabell Meeks of Enid; numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the IOOF Cemetery at Watonga under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
