Harold G. Reaves, 85, of Pocola, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Fort Smith, Ark. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocola. He was a lifelong resident of Pocola and a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Zelma, of the home; one daughter, Linda Carter of Pocola; one son and daughter-in-law, George and Ella Jane Reaves of Pocola; one sister, Maybell Riffel of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Britt Reaves, John Carter and Lisa Buller; and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at First Baptist Church of Pocola with the Rev. Shelton Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Fort Smith under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola. Pallbearers will be Gaylord Wann, Jerry Basinger, Billy Swink, Britt Reaves, John Carter and Hilton Kannady. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the First Baptist Church in Pocola.
