William "Billy" Ritter, 63, of Poteau, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2003. He was born Aug. 2, 1939 at Whitesboro. He loved to hunt and fish, and he was a welder.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cleo and Marie (Beaver) Ritter; one brother, Lonnie Ritter; one son, Elliott Ritter; and two brothers by marriage, Wayne Morris and Virgil Flanary.

Survivors include his wife of the home Mary Ritter; one son, Shane Ritter of Aloha, Ore.; one daughter by marriage, Tricia Ritter of Aloha, Ore.; two daughters, Tonya LeMaster of Poteau and Natilea O'Bannion of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Kolbyn O'Bannion, Bryttian O'Bannion, Kodee LeMaster and Kaigan LeMaster; two sisters, Loretta Morris of Indianola and Mary Gayle Flanary of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, Dale Ritter of Poteau and Ozell Ritter of Irving, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau. Burial will follow in Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
