Linda Sue Hardy White, 56, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away Friday, May 9, 2003. She was born Nov. 25, 1946 at Albion to Clayton and Ethel Pettyjohn-Hardy. She was a member of the Sabbath-keeping Church of God community since 1970. She has written numerous articles on theology and religion for various publications. She was employed in the 70s and 80s as an editor in the Spanish Department of the Worldwide Church of God and was an instructor of Spanish at Ambassador College. After moving to Texas, she worked as a computer analyst for companies such as McGraw-Hill and CompUSA. She served as editor for the Christian Beacon for the United Church of God and on the board of directors for the International Bible Learning Center for the last four years.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Wesley White; her father and stepmother, Clayton and Jean Hardy of Albion; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Judith Shreder of Lansing, Kan. and Karen and Phil Metcalf of Carrollton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Mary Hardy of McAlester and Randy and Mary Hardy of Jasper, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 at the Talihina First United Methodist Church with David Havir officiating. Burial will follow in Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
