Clifford Witte, 83, of Poteau, passed away Friday, July 18, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Aug. 14, 1919 at Ross, N.D. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Poteau, served as a deacon at First Assembly of God and Calvary Assembly of God churches for 25 years, and was a mechanic for Ford tractor.

Survivors include his wife Marciel Witte of the home; close friends, Gene and Betty Christenberry of Cameron and Harold and Imogene Vise of Spiro; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and loved ones and a host of beloved friends.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 21 at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Poteau with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Pallbearers will be James Phillips, Harvey Bowman, Gene Christenberry, Gary Furr Sr., Bobby Mead and Gary Newby.
