Wilson Bacon, age 83 of Talihina, Oklahoma was born May 11, 1910 at Whitesboro, Oklahoma. 

He passed away March 27, 1994 at the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center at Poteau, Oklahoma. He was a lifetime resident of the Talihina and Whitesboro area. On September 3, 1942 he entered the United States Air Corp during WW II, he served in the following: Northern France Air Combat, Balkans Go 46 WD 45, Rome-Arno Rhineland North Apennines, Po Valley Go 40 WD 45, Air Offensive Europe, Southern France, Tuenisia, Sicily, Naples, Foggia, Normandy Go 33 WD 45. He was awarded the following ribbons and awards: Eamesservice ribbon, two silver stars Good Conduct medal, Distinguished Service medal, Distinguished Unit Badge and One Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters. He was honorably discharged on September 8, 1945. 

He was married to Sally James on September 35, 1947. She preceded him in death on April 11, 1987. 

He was employed at the Eastern Oklahoma State Sanitarium in Talihina for 35 years until his retirement on May 4, 1975. He was a member of the Good Spring United Methodist Church at Lennox, Oklahoma where he has held most of the Church offices at least two or three times during his spiritual journal. He was the outgoing president of the United Methodist Men at Good Spring and was its treasurer. Additional responsibilities were the committee on nomination, personnel and auditing committee. Past responsibilities include being chair of the administrative council, church treasure, building fund treasure, church trustee, finance committee, pastor parish relations committee. Mr. Bacon was a lifetime member of Good Spring Untied Methodist Church, the Fifth Sunday Gathering was close to his heart he made sure that the supplies were available and the property was in order. he was supportive of all church activates and shared his resources to ensure everyone's participation. He purchased land for the new road leading to the Good spring Church, and was also active in the Veterans of Foreign War Post, The America Legion and attended most of the community affairs. 

His survivors include one sister, Julie Mouser of Henryetta, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
