Joseph Henley (J.H.) Chitwood, 92, of Shady Point, Oklahoma, died Friday, August 18, 2000, in Shady Point. He was an oil field worker. He was born June 23, 1908, in Hartford, Arkansas.
He is survived by one son, David Chitwood of Monroe; two sisters, Charm Forsight of California and Madge Pearson of Idaho; three grandchildren; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2000, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Abbott, Arkansas, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, Oklahoma.
