Funeral services for Jacob Vern Emard, 28, of Poteau, died Saturday, September 22, 2001, in the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home in Poteau. 

Mr. Emard was born September 8, 1973, in Downey, Calif. to Steven Vern and Joni (STOKES) Emard. 

Mr. Emard was preceded in death by his mother, Jonie Emard and his grandfather, Martin Ribera. 

Survivors include his father, Steven Vern Emard; one sister, Julie; his grandmother, Vivian; two aunts and two uncles, Lynn and Tye and Michael John Sr. and Sue, three cousins, Michael Jr., Michelle and Carol and other family and friends.
