Howard L. McGrath, 68, of Panama, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002. He was born March 13, 1934 at Poteau. He was employed in construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle and Burtis (Morris) McGrath; and one son, Terry Wendle McGrath.
Survivors include his wife Deborah of the home; eight children, Zelda Mecom of Keota, Wanda Wicks of Tulsa, Kyle McGrath of Whitefield, Carroll McGrath, Mary Jo Ray and James Francis, all of Spiro, Roger McGrath of Panama and Kimberley Carlile of Arkoma; one sister, Kathy Smith of Shady Point; two brothers, Gary Morris of Wister and Harold Sanders of Fort Smith; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23 at New Life Church in Panama with the Rev. Joe Pierce officiating. Burial followed at
Cowlington Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers werbe Milton Miller, Dick Aary, Gary Cline and Raymond Scrivener.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Skelton and Jim Stewart.
